Objectives: The present study was aims to examin the equation modeling of the relationship of irrational communication beliefs and sexual function with marital satisfaction with the mediating role of of basic psychological needs.
Methods: This is a descriptive- correlational study using structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the current study was all men who visited the Aram clinic in the second half of 1401, located in the 1st district of Tehran of whome 357 people who were selected using the purposefulsampling method with considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria . In order to collect data, Marital Life Satisfaction Scale, Communication Irrational Beliefs Scale, Sexual Performance Questionnaire, and Basic Psychological Needs Questionnaire were used. were used. For the statistical analysis of the data, structural equation modeling with using Amos -24 software was used.

(r=0.56; p<0.01) had a positive relationship with marital satisfaction. Also, the indirect path coefficient between irrational beliefs and marital life satisfaction (p=0.001, β=0.189) is negative and the indirect path coefficient between sexual performance and marital life satisfaction (p=0.001, β=0.116) was positive and significant.
