اهداف این پژوهش به منظور بررسی اثربخشی شناخت‌درمانی مبتنی بر ذهن‌آگاهی بر استرس ادراک‌شده، نشخوار فکری و دشواری تنظیم هیجانی زنان مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ انجام شد. 
مواد و روش ها این مطالعه شبه‌آزمایشی با استفاده از طرح پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون با گروه کنترل و یک مرحله پیگیری انجام شد. از میان همه بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ عضو هیئت ورزش‌های همگانی استان خراسان شمالی در سال ۱۳۹۶، ۳۰ نفر به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند و به طور تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایش و کنترل قرار گرفتند. بیماران گروه آزمایش در ۸ جلسه ۱۲۰ دقیقه‌ای در هفته درمان شناخت‌درمانی مبتنی بر ذهن‌آگاهی شرکت کردند. داده‌ها با مقیاس استرس ادراک‌شده، سبک پاسخ‌دهی نشخواری و مقیاس دشواری تنظیم هیجان جمع‌آوری شدند. 
یافته ها نتایج تحلیل واریانس با اندازه‌گیری‌های مکرر نشان داد شناخت‌درمانی مبتنی بر ذهن‌آگاهی باعث کاهش معنادار نمره‌های بیماران در نشخوار ذهنی (۰/۰۱≥P) و دشواری تنظیم هیجانی به‌جز خرده‌مقیاس آگاهی (۰/۰۱≥P) در پیگیری سه‌ماهه و استرس ادراک‌شده (۰/۰۱≥P)  تا پس‌آزمون شده است. 
نتیجه گیری شناخت‌درمانی مبتنی بر ذهن‌آگاهی در کاهش نشخوار ذهنی، استرس ادراک‌شده و دشواری تنظیم هیجانی به‌جز خرده‌مقیاس آگاهی در زنان مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ مؤثر است.
