This research is a quasi-experimental study that was carried out in the shaheed esmaili psychiatric hospital. The purpose of this study was to compare two procedures in the treatment of enuresis i.e. conditioning therapy (using of the bed alarm) and drug therapy (imipramine). In this study 44 children, diagnosed as enuretic, were randomly assigned to two groups. Subjects were matched for variabled such as age, sex educational level of parents and the family income. All particianets completed questionnaires containing personal information andmonthly monitoring of enuresis.
Findings indicated that in the first 45 days of therapy, drug therapy was more effective than conditioning. However, the second 45 days of therapy, showed no significant differences between the two groups. Follow up data 45 days after the termination of therapy did not indicated any significant differences between the two groups.
