The paper attempts to delineate the impact of these differences on the believes, attitudes, emotional patterns, and their relevance for the planning and deliver of mental health services. It draws attention to the concern of various Western mental health specialists to the break down of moral values that exists in the West and to their indifference towards Oriental cultural values.
