اهداف: این مطالعه افسردگی، اضطراب، نشانه‌های روان‌تنی و حمایت اجتماعی ادراک‌شده را در بین افراد نوع D و غیرنوع D بررسی می‌کند.
مواد و روش ها: درمجموع سیصد نفر 18 تا 40‌ساله در تحقیق شرکت کردند. از مقیاس شخصیت پریشانی (DS 14)، مقیاس اضطراب و استیصال پاکستان، مقیاس حمایت اجتماعی روان‌تنی و درک‌شده استفاده شد. شرکت‌کنندگان در این مطالعه به دو گروه (Dn=166) و غیرنوع (Dn=134) تقسیم شدند که بر اساس نمرات برش DS 14 آن‌ها بود. در این مطالعه توصیفی از روش نمونه‌گیری خوشه‌ای تصادفی برای جمع‌آوری اطلاعات استفاده شد. این مطالعه از سپتامبر تا دسامبر 2017 انجام شده است.
یافته ها: فراوانی شخصیت نوع D 55 درصد بود. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون تی مستقل و تحلیل رگرسیون انجام شد. نتایج نشان داد که بین شخصیت D و غیرنوع D تفاوت زیادی در افسردگی، اضطراب و عوارض جانبی روان‌شناختی وجود دارد P<0/01 ،P<0/01 ،P<0/01) به صورت جداگانه). این یافته‌ها همچنین نشان می‌دهد که افراد نوع D حمایت اجتماعی کمتری از خانواده، دوستان و افراد قابل توجه دیگر دریافت می‌کنند.
نتیجه گیری: نتایج نشان می‌دهد که افراد با ویژگی‌های شخصیتی نوع D در مقایسه با افراد غیرنوع D ا علائم افسردگی، اضطراب و تظاهرات روان‌تنی بیشتر و حمایت اجتماعی کمتر درک‌شده را نشان دادند.
